Former NATO military chief: there’s a 10% chance of nuclear war with North Korea

by Yochi Dreazen

Retired Navy Adm. James Stavridis spent 37 years in the military, including four years as the supreme allied commander of NATO. Hillary Clinton vetted him as a possible running mate. President-elect Donald Trump considered naming him secretary of state. He is a serious man, and about as far from an armchair pundit as it’s possible to be.

I would agree. However, it should be noted that if the United State attacks the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, we can expect an appropriate response.

Tell me, fellow Americans, are we ready for nuclear war? Do you think it possible that NOKO is better ready for such a war than we? Is it possible that NOKO is far stronger militarily than our leadership is aware?

Or, stated another way, we do not have much time left. Nuclear holocaust may be upon us. Let us not for a moment think that we, the great superpower, can crush a pipqueak nonentity like Kim Il Sung. Friends, I urge you to take a step back, and think carefully. If we attack NOKO we will be attacked, in turn, by NOKO. NOKO will respond. They have the capability of responding. Well, what would a response from NOKO look like? Have you seen any of those NASA photos of the moon?
